Harbor View Charm

warm welcomeluggage storageharbor views
I enjoyed the warm welcome I received from the receptionist upon arrival. They allowed us to leave our luggage while we explored the area since our room was not quite ready. The room had adequate amenities and included tea and coffee facilities as well as harbor views.
The toaster in the breakfast area did not toast effectively. It only warmed the bread even after multiple attempts.
Rooms
9/10
The room provided a comfortable bed and a clean bathroom. I found it very restful. The wardrobe offered ample storage, and I appreciated the tea and coffee making facilities available in the room. A harbor view added a special touch.
Dining
10/10
The breakfast offered a fantastic selection. It was indeed a wonderful way to start the day. I appreciated that there was plenty of choice for everyone, and the hot food was particularly nice. The coffee machine produced excellent coffee.
Location
10/10
The hotel had a great location, I could easily walk to shops and restaurants. The proximity to the city center proved very convenient. It was perfect for exploring. I enjoyed the short walk to the harbor as well.

I found that the staff were very friendly and helpful. They greeted us with smiles. The availability of a locker room for luggage storage on the day of departure proved very useful. It was so easy to keep our belongings secure before heading to the airport.

wonderful stay!

early arrivalpeaceful nightssmall shower
The staff greeted me warmly upon arrival. my room was ready earlier than the usual check-in time, such a nice surprise. i left my luggage there while exploring the area. That was very convenient. the staff met my request for a quiet room.
the standard room i booked was quite small, especially the bathroom. storage space for clothes was very limited. the shower was also difficult to use due to its small size.
Dining
8/10
the breakfast offered various choices, so everyone could find something they liked. food was kept nice and hot, i noticed. the toaster, however, required multiple passes to actually toast the bread, not just warm it.
Facilities
9/10
The hotel is very close to the city center. there is a supermarket near the hotel. This makes it easy to purchase snacks or essentials. bus stop 9 is also just a short walk away for excursions.

a harbor haven

easy accessfriendly staffhigh price
the location is fantastic as main streets are easily accessible. the front desk operates 24/7 and i found the staff quite friendly and helpful. the tours use an efficient bus system , made exploring easy. i also appreciated that i could walk to the places i wanted to visit.
i found that the hotel parking was overpriced and open. paying that much per day on unprotected parking seemed excessive. the cost should have covered a garage.
Rooms
9/10
i stayed in a family room that included a comfortable bed. the room also had effective room darkening curtains. this feature is very important when staying during the icelandic summer. the room provided adequate space for our family to relax after long days of exploring.
Service
9/10
the breakfast offered a good selection and high quality options. the staff was polite and very attentive to our needs. happy hour was available in the evenings which added a nice touch. the staff seemed helpful with directions and tour options.
Location
10/10
the hotel is close to the harbor path. several main streets are easily accessible from this location. many tour buses pick up from the hotel or bus stop #9. this stop is only a few blocks away so travel was easy.

The staff at the front desk was friendly. The location was central (a little too central if you ask me).
The room felt rather old. The furniture seemed quite dark. The shower was also too small. The curtain stuck to me while I was trying to wash.
